Out with the old, in with the new….blog name

So I had a little bit o’ an identity crisis. I struggled with it for a while, because change is scary and can be really rough. After several months of going back and forth, I decided to move forward with the transition. Introducing…

I’m not trying to be all Caitlyn Jenner about this, but I thought I’d spend a bit of time ‘splainin myself just in case someone comes to the site expecting to see Hot for Houses. Ahhhh…Hot for Houses. That was so…2012.

Why the change? As my blog grew, I noticed that my topics became broader and broader. I started my blog out of my undeniable love for architecture, interiors, and all things related to home decor. But (and designers, cover your ears) there’s more to life than gawking at beautiful pillows and a pretty patina. As you can see from my posts, I’m obsessed with DIY, crafts, knitting, food, photography, babies (now that I’m a mom, can you blame me?), travel, flowers, trees, plants….the list goes on, and on, and on.

With that, I came up with a new name that reflects exactly what I do with my blog: serve up a spoonful of pretty…anything. And by pretty, I am referring to my observations of the unique, interesting,  imperfect, dimpled, stylish, awkward, drool-worthy must-haves in life.

So thank you for your continued support of my very important outlet for the sometimes silly but always interesting thoughts in my head. And special thanks to my biggest fan, the fabulous hubby, for helping me with my very pretty DIY logo.

Serving it up hot,

Lin
